Out With The Old, In With The New

So apparently it's a new decade, or some nonsense like that. I've been hearing a lot about new year's resolutions and other retardness and I have decided not to partake. I don't need a new year to change my ways. Instead, I'm going to kick of 2010 with a new love!

Before I start, I would like the reader to beware- he is not my cwoffy type. He does have many of the characteristics I look for in a man; glasses, brown hair, blue eyes, tall and nerdy. This may come as a shock, but I am totally enamored with Ed Helms.
I can't really explain it, but I find him just absolutely endearing and I'm in love with him. He likes Civil War reenactments, he plays a mean banjo, he can impersonate Tom Brockaw, he sings really well, he's been on two of my favorite shows ever (The Office and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) and he's super hilarious. If those don't win you over, I don't know what will. Anyways, I leave you with some of my favorite Ed Helms moments. Now sit back and swoon with me!

Oh... Canada.... Best part of this:
Canadian: I'm a typical Canadian reserve until those principles and morals have been stepped on.
Ed Helms: And then what?
Canadian: And then I, I voice my opinion, or I'll write a letter of concern.
Ed Helms: You're Adorable.

Most amusing kits I've seen in a long time

I was searching through rugby pics, not because I have any interest in the sport at all, but I was trying to find pictures of a certain hottie French rugby player and discovered photos of this gem of a kit. It's by no means a good kit, but it certainly is an amusing one and that makes it alright in my books. Also, the amount of pink there is great, I'm always up for supporting the color pink.

O, great poet, write me something

Through the Typealyzer, I came across a site that I can c&p my entries into and it will tell me what classic author my writing style mostly resembles. I have gone through just random posts that I have done and it seems the only two results I get is Oscar Wilde and Lewis Carroll (mostly Oscar Wilde). I don't know what this means to me or anyone, but I find it an interesting fact to know.To find out what classic author your writing style mostly resembles, click here!

Probably the only time you will ever see this on here

I found some recent pics of Enrique Iglesias. I feel Enrique is a hottie and I enjoy his music. I also normally really like scarves on men. There is just something about these pics of Enrique in this scarf that I cant put my finger on, but I don't like them at all. It looks like he's wearing make-up almost!

Speaking of guys who wear make-up, I came across this screen cap of actress actor Zac Efron's IMDB page. I didn't print screen this myself, but I think it's absolutley hilarious! Also, I have to express that
I DO NOT IN ANY WAY FIND ZAC EFRON IN ANY FORM ATTRACTIVE!
I just think this is funny!

Randoms Round-up

Juventus beat Genoa 4-1! It was a really good game and Yay! They’re now third place right below both Milan teams, but I have faith and top 3 is by no means a bad place to be!

Real Madrid lost 1-0 in a pathetic display. I can’t remember the last time I have seen them play this poorly, just EVERY SINGLE PERSON was off.

Barcugh won, but only by 1-0 so they’re slowly on their way to losing. Bojan only played for the last 3 minutes and then the 3 minutes of overtime. DWP!

The Jazz sucked horribly. On their 10 day, 5 game road trip they went from being undefeated to only winning 1 of the away games. They return to Salt Lake tonight to face off with the Phoenix Suns which they need to win. They aren’t even that bad, but they keep doing this thing where in the first half they build themselves a comfortable 10+ points lead and then in the second half they just throw it all away. Way to get my hopes up Jazz!

Fantasy Football for the win! I am 4/21 in the EPL FF league and I don’t even watch EPL so I am super awesome and I got 70 puntos in this week’s La Liga FF League keeping me solidly in fourth place and only half a punto from being tied for third!

I went and saw Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa. I LOVED the first one and normally when sequels are made they aren’t nearly as good as the first one, but I LOVED this one too! It’s weird though because I love it in a different way than I love the first one, but I did really really enjoy it. I might even like it more than the first one. King Julian is definitely my favorite and he did not fail to make me so happy! Go see this movie!

Moving to the top of my Netflix queue

I was going thru my mother's documents and in my folder out fell the following sticker:

Willow Ufgood looks kind, but also like he can be intense. I wasn't even alive when this movie came out thus me missing it, but it looks mind blowing so I went to Wiki and did some research:

"A young farmer named Willow Ufgood, one of a hobbit-like people called Nelwyns, is drawn away from his sheltered home to save Elora Danan (a baby girl with a destiny) from the evil Queen Bavmorda who would see her destroyed.

Willow is aided by the disillusioned master swordsman Madmartigan, who has turned to a life of roguery, sorceress Fin Raziel, who has been turned into a possum by Bavmorda, as well as two diminutive brownies Franjean and Rool. They are initially thwarted, but later joined, by the queen's daughter Sorsha. As their journey continues, they face troubles and hardships beyond what any of them had imagined. Through it all, they find love, friendship, and wisdom. In the end we learn that the people we would never suspect are sometimes the bravest of all."

I don't know what you think, but this sounds like my kind of film!

Quizzes are fun

Which Scrubs Character Are You?

You are Elliot. Sometimes you can be doubtful about your decisions. There is no need for this doubt because you are respected for your intelligence. You need to look in the mirror and stand tall and be proud. The critic you can't seem to please is you- everyone else is totally aware of your value! Your friends even love your quirkiness!

Which of Snow White's Dwarfs Are You?

You are Doc. Although you wouldn't consider yourself a leader, the people around you do. You truly care about others and want to do your best to keep them happy and well. You are optimistic and smart and want to make the world a better place. You could probably learn to relax a bit more. You definitely deserve to have a day off and spend time with friends!

Which That 70's Show Character Are You?

You are Jackie. You are quite superficial and you know it- in fact, you are proud of it! You do whatever you want and pout when things don't go as you planned them. Appearances mean a lot to you, and you are always impeccable and wearing the latest fashions. Underneath that posh exterior beats a sensitive heart waiting for someone just as trendy and popular as you- a perfect soul mate!

Which SpongeBob Character Are You?

You are part Mr. Krab. Out of all your friends, you are the one with the undying drive to succeed. You are determined to make it big, and you will! You can be a Wall Street Millionaire or a top movie executive. Whatever you concentrate on achieving is within your grasp. Just remember to take the time to chill out with friends every now and then so you don't get burnt out!

You are part Patrick. Simplicity is the best word to describe your personal motto. You like to drift from one thing to the next without having to work too hard. You are a dreamer and like to have the freedom to just get up and go wherever you want at any time. Your friends enjoy being around you and wish they could be like you. You don't worry and you don't stress out- you simply live your life from one day to the next!

Which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Character Are You?

You are part Leonardo. You are a natural leader with a strong sense of honor.

You are part Donatello. You are reserved and intelligent. You favor the use of brains instead of brawn.

Which Disney Villain Are You?

You are Lady Tremaine. You're the evil stepmother little girls have nightmares about. Hooray for you, who helped kids learn to love their birth parents and do everything possible to avoid stepparents. Next time, though, be careful not to get in between a girl and her dreams.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

You are Pocahontas. You defy convention and sometimes do what is considered taboo. Unfortunately, others do not always appreciate your differences, so it's good that you are so strong-willed. You are loyal and you believe in fate. Your true love will find you one day.

Are You More Qualified than Sarah Palin?

You are 83% more qualified than Sarah Palin. You're no short-term political stunt, you're the real deal, the VP the American people deserve. I guess your phone was off the hook when John McCain was calling around looking for a running mate... must've been one of those pesky robo-calls.

'Action' figures and Poo Fighters

I was at Graywhale last night and I came across some 'action' figures of both presidential nominees. In the artwork on McCain's box McCain appears evil and angry looking, Obama on the other hand has a big grin and is friendly looking. You may say that this is because the toy company is biased, but believe me, that is not the case. McCain is evil and angry and Obama is friendly and a smiley kind of guy! I also noticed that even action figure McCain has bad posture and saggy jowls. I was so tempted to buy the Obama doll action figure, but then I thought it would be weird to have a mini representation of the possible (and hopefully) future president of the United States.
"John McCain: A call to 'action' figure" Too bad it's the wrong action he's calling for."Barak Obama: a action figure we can believe in" I agree!
And also, because I'm about 5 years old emotionally, I saw this and had to take a picture because it made me laugh harder than it should have.

Product Review: The Bedazzler

I was working on a craft project yesterday and parts of it needed to be sparkly. I had decided to sew some sequins on it in order to achieve this. However, three sequins in I realized that if I wanted this to turn out how I wanted it to, using my mediocre sewing skills was not the way to go. It was in this moment I decided to buy a Bedazzler. I know. You are all suprised that I didn't already own a Bedazzler with my love of shiny things, but it's true! I've also never really had anything to bedazzle. On my way back from downtown I stopped by the craft store and got one.

I got home and didn't immediatly bedazzle anything. I waited until 2am when I was bored and didn't have anything to watch on TV to try my hand at using the Bedazzler. The overall attempt was unseccessful, but I don't blame myself for this: I blame the epic fail that is the Bedazzler!
The Bedazzler is a big piece of plastic mess. It is horrible. First off, the little gems wouldn't stay in the holder so when I went to press the arm down to secure them, they would constantly fall out. This lead to me using it sideways and having to hold it. Then when I went to place the jewel, it didn't secure properly! I could easily remove the jewels from the fabric. This was a major disappointment for several reasons:
  1. I couldn't complete my art project
  2. I am back to sewing on sequins
  3. My life will not be as shiny!
Overall the bedazzler is one epic fail and an immense disappointment!

I looted the town

After a difficult week I needed some serious retail therapy so I spent the day out shopping. It was fun and overall a pretty successful trip! Here's what I got:

New sheets for a few reasons: I don't like my old ones and it's getting colder so I wanted warmer bedding. Also, flannel sheets are just the best!A robot Hello Kitty comforter. I didn't need a comforter or any blankets, but like I needed an excuse to buy this!Again, it's getting colder so some new footwear was required. I got some boots and some really warm leather ballet flats.
A new bag. It's so shiny!Sunglasses because I can never have enough and I broke an old pair.Lash blast mascara because I've really wanted to try it for some time.A 'Party In My Tummy' sticker. If you haven't seen that video I suggest you youtube it! I also got a Michaelangelo TMNT zipper pull. I wanted to get all four, but I felt that was a big greedy of me.Kidrobot is one of the best online stores and I order from there all the time, but when I went to Graywhale today they had some in store and I had to buy some. I got two of the LE Simpsons figurines, two Dunny's and a DIYqee and a DIY metallic!
Three CD's because while I have an iTunes account and use my iPod and all, I still love owning the physical CD. They're not newly out or anything, but I finally got around to buying them. I got Conor Oberst's self titled album, The Academy Is... Fast Times at Barrington High and The Honorary Title's Scream & Light Up The Sky.
