Trophy Envy

I'm late on blogging about this, but Bordeaux won a trophy about a week ago and I haven't envied a trophy so much, since when Spain won the Euros. Yoann Gourcuff really loves this trophy and I love him.

Most amusing kits I've seen in a long time

I was searching through rugby pics, not because I have any interest in the sport at all, but I was trying to find pictures of a certain hottie French rugby player and discovered photos of this gem of a kit. It's by no means a good kit, but it certainly is an amusing one and that makes it alright in my books. Also, the amount of pink there is great, I'm always up for supporting the color pink.

Jugador de la Semana- Semana 33

Camunas is Jugador de la Semana. Congratulations to him. I'm really glad he is because even though Henry did really well, I did NOT want Barcugh to win so I'm kind of mad at him scoring his goal, despite the puntos.

Part 1 of the plan- Ricky Rubio is coming to the NBA

So, it turns out that Ricky Rubio, 18 year old basketball prodigy/current box member, has decided to ENTER THE JUNE 2009 NBA DRAFT! Oh, I'm not freaking out at all!!! This means that phase 1 of my plan can now officially be put into action. He's going to be a high draft pick and has a $7.8 million buyout clause which means he will probably not be coming to the Jazz, but no matter because that means I can still see him once a year :D

Real Madrid-one of the greatest manlove moments

Following a match winning stunner of a goal from Gonzalo Higuain, the Real Madrid players got all hands on and produced one of the greatest manlove moments that I have seen since Spain at the Euros. Yet just another reason why I love Real Madrid!

The Open Door EP

Death Cab for Cutie are awesome. That is the only way I can sum them up. If I had to name my favorite bands ever, Death cab would definitely be near the top. Recently they released The Open Door EP.

The Open Door is a collection of 4 songs that didn't quite fit well onto Narrow Stairs as well as the demo to "Talking Bird."

Every song is so well crafted and are clearly good enough to go onto the album, but they didn't fit into it as a whole and therefore are now being released as B-sides.

I'm pretty horrible at trying to write about music, but I just thought I'd share my thoughts on this EP. The fact that the songs on The Open Door are good enough to collectively stand up as well as their full length album say a lot about the quality of this band. I cannot remember and EP so gratifying since Bright Eyes' Four Winds EP.

I do not feel the need to name a Jugado de la Semana this week. My entire team was an utter fail and I am not pleased. We shall regroup and return stronger and better next week!

I found a site with a ton of caricatures of different footie players. There are so many good ones and I want to post them all, but that would take up some serious space so I'll just link you to the blog I found them on. I think there is someone here for everyones different tastes. There are more great ones too, they can be found here! I recommend taking some time and going through them!
