Oh wow, look at me super procrastinating on this weeks blog challenge. Oh well, it's just how I do.
If you haven't noticed by now I support Real Madrid and Juventus. This is a hard topic for me to write about because I don't actually know why I chose to support either team. It was onced charged that I supported both teams due to a certain constant smiling Italian hottie, but that's just simply not true. I started supporting both teams when said hottie was busy playing for Intercrimnale.
I got into footie/soccer thru my general love of most sports. I came across an EPL game on Fox Sports. It was a pre-recorded one and I really liked it. I can't remember who it was, but I started watching it once a week whenever Fox Sports decided they would play it. I didn't get majorly into it until World Cup 2002. After that I loved it, the drama, the goals, the player, just all of it! I continued to watch the occasional international and EPL match, but basic cable really limited my viewing options. Then my family upgraded and I was introduced to GOLtv and FSN.
Again, I have no idea how I started supporting Real Madrid, but the best answer I can give is from when I saw them play live in 2006 against Utah's local team Real Salt Lake. I watched La Liga and I really like Real Madrid and Villareal, but didnt' really support one over the other. Once I saw Real Madrid in person, I guess that's when I decided they were going to be my team.
I started watching Serie A and a lot of people knock it for being more boring and having less goals, but I appreciate great defenses a lot more than most. I don't need a big sweeping scoreline and I find it a nice contradiction to some of the specatacles in La Liga. Again, I have no idea why I decided to support Juventus, but I did. They seemed like a really cool team so I just went with it.
My story is obviously not as exciting as everyone else's and is pretty much just me not knowing anything, but there it is.

I'm making a change
I am a fan of the NBA and normally I am a good fan and I follow it really well. I don’t know what happened this year though, I have just been slacking off and not been keeping up with it at all. I’m a bad fan now. I have decided that I am returning to the type of fan that I used to be and the type of fan that I am. I really do love the NBA so I started my return to proper fandom tonight. The team I support the most is obviously the Utah Jazz, followed by the Phoenix Suns.
I didn’t get to watch the Suns game, but they beat the Indiana Pacers 113-103. Stoudemire was apparently AMAZING (49 points, 11 assists) and I’m sad I missed that, but what can I do when ESPN decides they don’t want to broadcast a specific game. However, luckily, KJZZ broadcasts every Jazz game so I always get to watch those. I watched it and it was pretty good (again, I suck at reviewing games so I’m not going to torture you by trying.) The important thing is that the Jazz defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 103-96. For some time the Jazz were down and it looked like they were going to lose but they carry on with a 4-0 winning streak :D
Side note here as well, the way Kyle Korver wears his socks drives me nuts like none other. I can’t stand it and I never have been able to, but he finally has a shiny new (and muchly improved) hair cut so I can deal (for now).

Prepare to be shocked
Chocolate Bear did a post on the Slanket not that long ago. Most everyone was into it and liked it, but not me. I think a giant robe will do the same thing and said that it was probably invented by the same person who made the pet rock. I was watching the news and I saw a commercial that took me by suprise. Playing right in front of me was an advertisement for the Snuggie! They blasted the Slanket saying that it was too exspensive saying that they cost too much and that the Snuggie was just as good, but cheaper. I don't know who are buying these, but I'm glad to know that it's not just one company monopolizing on the people out there buying this ridiculous. Anyways, I don't think either are great, but you can decide for yourself:
The Slanket
The Snuggie
The Snuggie
The Slanket definitely has the better marketing, but the Snuggie is cheaper and has a better name.
What do you think?
What do you think?
Real Madrid/Juventus second leg
It was the secong leg of the UEFA Champions League matchup between Real Madrid and Juventus. Juventus won the first leg at home in Turin 3-2. Real Madrid were just a hot mess during this game and they lost 0-2 due to two great goals from Del Piero. This means that Juve are now atop the UCL Group H table with 10 points while Real Madrid are second with 6 points. I supported Juve for their home game and decided to support RM fully for their home game. Unfortunately they lost. I'm not too fussed over the result though because as long and Juventus and Real Madrid finish in spots one and two (don't care who finishes where) I'm okay because that means that they move onto the knockout rounds. I'm also just really relieved that this is finally over!

Juventus continues their quest to win the Champions League on Tuesday, November 25th with an away game against Zenit St. Petersburg. Real Madrid continue in the group stage with an away game on the same day against BATE Borisov. Good Luck to them both!

Good Job America!
Words cannot articulate how I feel right now! I AM SO PROUD TO BE AMERICAN! This is truly a historical moment and the feelings and emotions I am having right now are so different than what I felt before. The meaning of what it means to be an American now is significantly different than what it was before. I'm so glad that I could take part in this election and change history. I'm going to go renew my passport tomorrow and it's going to be different! Just right now is so awesome and mind blowing! Congratulations everyone who voted Obama! We did it! I can't even describe how I am feeling right now, but proud is definitely one of those emotions! I'm a bit teary, but President Obama sounds really nice! Just UNBELIEVABLE! The greatest nation on earth again!
